For his new album with Crazy Horse, Americana, Neil Young asked artist Shepard Fairey to create paintings to represent each of the record's 11 songs. The series of works premiered in L.A. last night at the Perry Rubenstein Gallery and will be on display there from June 28th through July 14th.
For the past 5 years Auburn has put on an art show called Outside the Box. Artists were issued a "deconstructed" wood box and given two months to come up with whatever creation the mind can imagine. The results are a must-see! The completed Box Art debuts at The Arts Building Gallery on April 12 during Auburn Art Walk.

Huf and Deluxe Distribution recently partnered with Japanese artist, Haroshi, on a sculpture series inspired by professional skateboarders Peter Ramondetta, Tommy Guerrero, Dennis Busenitz and Keith Hufnagel. Haroshi applied his signature sculptural technique to the project using old skateboards and components as his medium for design.

A new Banksy piece popped up the other day in the UK featuring an adeptly stenciled origami crane snagging a goldfish from a small canal. While the work has yet to appear on the artist’s website for positive verification, Street Art News seems to think it’s the real deal. Photos by the lonely villein. (via juxtapoz)
