Using the supplied hole position template, mark the hole locations on the front face of the mullion.
Proceed with caution. Heckler is not responsible for damage to the mullion, glass, or equipment. We recommend reviewing the CAD diagram of your specific aluminum mullions to ensure the hole locations do not line up with the layer of glass inside the mullion. Position your holes as needed to prevent glass damage and to access a cavity within the mullion to enable your CAT cable to pass through.
Using a 1/8-inch drill bit, carefully drill pilot holes at all three marked positions.

Ensure your CAT cable hole is free of aluminum burrs. Burrs can penetrate the cable insulation, causing hazardous short circuits and fire.
To create a clean, burr-free CAT cable hole, we recommend the use of a tall, slender step drill bit. Use a deburring tool as needed.
